    Hi Guilherme,

I suspect that the problem you are seeing is because the .pot files are out of date. Can you tell me what language files you are using so I can test?

    Best,
    Leah

    Hi Guilherme,

    Thanks for the information.

The reason you are seeing so many words in English is because the translation is really outdated. All of our plugins are translated by volunteers, and no one has worked on the pt_PT one in a while. Would you be interested in updating the translation? That would fix your site and we’d give you a free license in exchange.

If you are interested, check out the Getting Started post in our Translation Forum where you’ll find the instructions and files you need. If you are not able to translate it, you’ll unfortunately need to wait for someone else to update the files.

    Best,
    Leah

well, i’m a wordpress noob right now, but i really need that plugin translated.

i could give it a try.
in the end you can see it and if it’s better than the one you have right now, you can update it.

    would that be ok?
i’ll just might need some help to get started with that, because i can’t find the post of the translation.

    That would be fine.

Sorry about the link, I gave you the wrong one. You can find the Getting Started post here. If you have any questions about the translation, you can post in the Translation Forum there.

    Thanks,
    Leah

    Thanks for this plugin 🙂

It seems that the translation is not applied when switching from the list to <events_slug>/month <events_slug>/day page.

    I’m using the french language.

    Thanks again,

    Hi Eric,

The French translation is outdated, which is why you’re seeing some strings still in English. We’d love to have you update the translation to fix that. You can find all the info you need in the Getting Started link above 🙂

    Cheers,
    Leah

    Leah,

I think that the problem is not only related to untranslated string. If you go to http://sasr.dublin.inlibro.net/evenements/month/ you’ll that most of the UI is in english (days of week, previous and next month names).
When we click on the next month, those element comes back in the correct language.

It seems to me that the translation is not applied the first time the page is loaded.

Any idea how to fix that ?

    Thanks,

    Eric

    Hi Eric,

That is strange! The translations for the days of the week and month names are actually controlled by the WordPress translation file, not the ones for our plugin. You might take a look at those and see if there’s an issue. It looks like the translation files for our plugin are loading properly the first time around.

I’m sorry I can’t be of more help here. You might try posting in the WordPress forums for the French language files too and see if someone there has an idea.

    Best of luck!

    ~Leah
