dates in forums? (4 posts)

hi, this is a request for inside WordPress.org forums here.

would it be possible to see a date started, last reply(modified) perhaps?

kinda sucks to see forums with no clue at all how recent, and which versions it might apply to.

in my example, tracking down nicEdit bug/fixes.... can search, but real time wasted by not being able to view by most recent, or most updated.

    I know, just me.
    just a wish.

  2. A post can only be edited within ... 15 minutes of being posted, just look for the Freshness.

On the list of posts, there's a Freshness column that says '1 month' for example. That means the last post was a month ago.

As for inside the post, I can see: Started 13 hours ago by vincej

So I know when the topic was started. And looking at your post, oh look, Posted 13 hours ago :) It's all there.

Everything is, by default, sorted by recent.

Oops, perhaps my mistake, wasn't clear enough.

I meant in the Search results.
If I browse through a forum, yes that's right, all there.
If I search, nope, no indicators.
given the topc of "How-To and Troubleshooting" has only 100K++ topics, and over 700K posts.. it is a little daunting.
    .
(and it woudl be nice to have forum specific searches... but that's for another day :-)

So my original request stands as "any way to get "freshness" in search of posts within Forums?

(hey, just me, or did we just add the wyswig editor in the past day or so?
    neat. )

  4. We've always had the wyswig :D

You actually CAN see how long ago the posts were made. At the end of the description there's this " Started 8 months ago by ..."

But... Yeah, that's crap, and it looks like the latest reply is truncated. I second this!
