Support » Plugin: Theater for WordPress » Dates for Past Productions

  • I know that dates are, by design, not intended to show for past productions. Our Theatre really wants those dates there.

    In the forum are other posts explaining how to make it work, especially by user “evivamedia” (e.g., “Dates not showing in admin production list.”

    I tried making the single-wp_theatre_prod.php page this user recommended, but how does one access it? I put it in the root of the Theatre plugin directory; was that the right place? Which shortcode would I use to call it up on my Past Performances page?

    I’m not a programmer, but the plugin was otherwise beautifully easy to use.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    single-wp_theatre_prod.php should go into the root of our (child) theme.
    This is however the template for a single production page. It doesn’t influence the way that productions appear inside lists.

    To change this, you need to write a piece of code an add it to the functions.php of your (child) theme.

    You probably need a programmer to do this for your.

    Thank you. I’ve now added everything from
    * Gets the event startdate.
    return $html;
    } <–the one before “/** * Gets the event starttime

    to functions.php, but dates still aren’t showing up on

    What am I missing?

    You need to be working with the add_filter function of WordPress:

    I am afraid this requires someone with some experience with WordPress programming.
