I’ve worked with this plugin for a long time, and have additionally donated to it – I certainly appreciate the work that’s gone into it and the fantastic resource it is.

That all said, I can’t understand for the life of me why there’s no satisfactory solution, within the plugin itself or with a third-party plugin, that addresses the calendar issue. I wasn’t aware that a working calendar was still such an tremendously difficult feat in 2015 …

I’ve tried the various plugins available, and none do the trick. The built in option on works on Chrome. Has anybody found a simple fix for this that ensures the form has a working calendar in all browsers?

I have tried following instructions on your site to edit the Date field with no luck.
I’m trying to set min and max values to 7 days in the future from “today”.

I’ve tried [date mydate min:today+7 max:today+7]. The user is still able to enter any date, past or future. What am I doing wrong?

There’s no setting for Date field when editing the form. All other fields come with setting, this one does not.

    Thank you for your assistance

    Hi JBinJPN,

Personally, I have not encountered this particular issue with the calendar displaying in browsers.

That is what you are referring to correct? Have you testing the calendar on a clean install of WordPress?

    Thanks for all the responses,

After much testing – this appears to be a theme related issue after all. The theme has two different layout options – one wide, one boxed. When in wide, it works fine, but in boxed, it doesn’t.

Once I’ve uncovered what’s going on, I’ll report back in case it’s something that may help other people.

    Hey JBinJPN,

That’s great you were able to isolate the issue!

    Hi all,

Very simple issue – embarrassingly so – one of those problems you catch staring at you in the face 🙂

The z-index on the calendar was only 11 and therefore showing up behind the content container box. Changed to a higher number and all’s resolved.

Thanks again, and sorry for the frustration evident in the first post 🙂

    Hey JBinJPN,

Glad to hear it was a quick and easy fix for you! It happens to us all when we are over thinking the problem at hand 😀

This will hopefully help others in the future who encounter a similar issue.
