• I purchased and uploaded a blog template from template monster, and the date always shows as 17.09.2007. When I switch back to one of the default templates, the date shows correctly.

How do I get the date to show correctly on the template I uploaded?

  • Guessing it might be in your index.php file, you will to make sure the Template_Tags/the_time is being used correctly.

If necessary, paste a copy of that file at http://wordpress.pastebin.ca/ and report the link back here.

Also, a link to the place you downloaded the theme might be useful.

Oh, now I’ve got real problems! Check it out at http://www.paulnlong.com.

TemplateMonster sent me new theme files single.php, index.php, and archive.php, and told me to update my theme with the files.

The problem is, I probably not only updated the theme that I was trying to change, I think I also updated the default theme! Anything called “index.php”, “single.php”, or “archive.php” I updated with the new files.

How can I get the old files back so I can view my site? Is there an easy fix? The problem is that I also can’t even log in, because I usually log in from my blog (and I can’t get there now).

    Oh, the trouble I’m seeing!
    Thanks!

Redownload wordpress to get the default theme files again.
