# Date Sorting problem

 * Hi, I know there are already one or two threads about this but I have a slightly
   different problem.
 * I’ve added the plugin extension and then also attempted to add the code mentioned
   in the other threads but I can’t seem to get my table sort-able by date.
 * This is the code I added:
    “aaSorting”: [[1,’desc’]], “aoColumnDefs”: [ { “sType”:“
   date-eu”, “aTargets”: [ 1 ] } ]
 * ..and this is the table in question:

 * I think it may be the ‘To Be Scheduled’ inputs but I have tried leaving these
   blank and all that does is not allow the user to sort by date at all.
 * Hopefully Tobias or someone will be able to help!?

 * thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
 * Now, I just had a look at the table in the link you posted, and from what I can
   see, the dates in the second column sort just fine. Where you already able to
   fix the problem? Or am I missing something?
