    I added new events yesterday but today when I click on the date box the date picker does not display. It also says:
    “Your event details are incorrect and cannot be published, please correct these errors first:
    Dates must have correct formatting. Please use the date picker provided. “
    when trying to enter the date manually.

    I updated WP and all the plugins.

  • Just to narrow down the problem have you tried to temporarily:

    – deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems

    Hi agelonwl

    Yes, I did deactivate all the other plugins but it still would not work.

    What should the format of a manual date look like, as I would like to see if that would still work. Need to get a few things live asap.

    did you try your theme?

    I have this same issue. I don’t have the flexibility of disabling plugins or changing my theme. Is there any news on this issue? I can’t enter recurring events for some reason. Even if I manually enter the date range.

    unfortunately this is more often than not caused by another plugin/theme so you’d need to test that out first and rule out the possibility

    But this is in the admin area just trying to enter a recurring event. That has nothing to do with the theme, does it? I didn’t have this problem with previous versions. Can I downgrade?

    I think you have to try temporarily switching back default twenty twelve theme since just to narrow down the problem ;

    using chrome:
    to bring up the developer window, right click anywhere on the webpage and the click on ‘Inspect Element’ then click on Sources then see if your theme uses default wordpress jquery library.

    I have the same problem, and it happened RIGHT after I updated my Events Manager plugin. It JUST worked before that. So… why is it everyone keeps blaming another plugin or the theme, when they all worked perfectly fine a minute before?

    It depends on many things… you could be running a theme or plugin that uses outdated jQuery files that clash with JS we use that works fine with up-to-date WP installs. By coincidence, this update may be the one that finally catches up with out-of-date scripts used by other plugins. That’s one of many possibilities.

    That’s why we ask you to test it out on up-to-date WP and a standard theme and plugins deactivated, to rule out the possibilities. If you can confirm it’s us doing something wrong, then we’d certainly look into it.

    I have deactivated all plug-ins and moved to the Twenty Twelve theme. I then activated Events Manager and the date picker is still missing.

    Any more ideas?
