Hi,
I’m not really sure that I understand.
Is this question targeted at sorting? Otherwise, TablePress doesn’t care about the format of content that you enter. Everything is treated as text. Just when it comes to sorting, the date format is important. By default, the English format mm/dd/yyyy is supported. The more European format dd.mm.yyyy can be added with the Sorting Plugins Extension from http://tablepress.org/extensions/datatables-sorting-plugins/

Ah, so it’s text only, I thought it was somehow an actual date as in serial date which can be custom formatted. I will look at the plugin. Basically I need a format like “Fri Mar 29, 2013” so I’m gathering this may not be possible? The other issue is a date range when an event lapses over a few days like “Mon -Thurs, Mar 24 – 29, 2013”
Hi,
yes, just text. So, you can simply type in the date or range in any format you want. Just for the sorting you will have to pay special attention. Depending on what format you choose, you will have to develop a special sorting algorithm, as seen in the examples for the DataTables JS library at http://datatables.net/plug-ins/sorting
