# Date format wrong

 * I just need to know how to change the date format from thh US version
    of MM/
   DD/YY to DD/MM/YY?
 * Can you advise how I can do this?

 * thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
 * Where does your data come from? Did you import it?
    TablePress can not change
   it itself, the format has to be changed in the source of the data already.

 * Im just typing them in.
 * Where the individual boxes are I have a date column and under here I have typed
   the dates as follows;
    eg: todays date 06/05/2015
 * But when I arrange the date tab by numbers it puts them in the wrong order.
 * Is there a way to set this as a date? DD/MM/YY so that when the client clicks
   the date order it will go in date order according to day?

 * ah, so you don’t actually want to change the dates in the table, you just want
   them to sort correctly, right?
 * For that, you will just have to add an extra sorting algorithm for European dates,
   via the TablePress Extension from [http://tablepress.org/extensions/datatables-sorting-plugins/](http://tablepress.org/extensions/datatables-sorting-plugins/)

 * it should be enough to install the Extension by uploading and activating it as
   a new plugin.
 * Depending on the table, it might however be necessary to explicitly set the date
   format for the sorting.
    Can you please post a link to the page with the table
   where this problem happens, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!
