Hi – love this plugin, it is brilliant! But here’s a strange issue and I have not seen it on the forum. I imported a CSV file and one column contained dates in the following format: 01/22/2010. But the imported table in TablePress showed the dates as 2010-01-22, which is great for sorting, but not how I want the dates to display. Any idea how to fix? Thanks so much!

    Hi Linda,

thanks for the post, and sorry for the trouble.

Now, TablePress does not (and can not) alter the date format of cells. TablePress imports the data exactly as it is in the CSV file. Therefore, my assumption is that this already happened when saving the table to a CSV file in Excel.
To verify, please open the CSV file in a text editor, like Notepad, and check the format of the dates there. They will show as 2010-01-22 there.

Unfortunately, I don’t know how you can tell Excel to export them as 01/22/2010, but there could be a setting somewhere.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Thanks Tobias. I think Excel imposed the change. I seem to have it worked out now.

    Hi Linda,

great! I hope you can find a solution that doesn’t cause too much extra work.
There’s nothing that I can change about this in TablePress, so sorting this out in Excel is the way to go.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
