Hi @webbando you found a bug. Thank you for reporting! It will be fixed in the next release 🙂
Ok, please let me know.
Thanks a lot
If you wish, you can try the current development version from https://github.com/RavanH/xml-sitemap-feed/archive/master.zip (unpack then upload by FTP, overwriting the current version)
To get back to the current version (if something goes wrong) do the same with https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/xml-sitemap-feed.5.0.7.zip
I tried the development version but it works in the same way of previous.
Have you published a new post yet?
Sorry for the late…
Tried to publish more than one posts but nothing change…
That is strange… can you share a link to your sitemap?
Did you had time to check from your side?
Yes, but don’t know why it’s stil not updating the lastmods correctly on your site. Do you have an database query / object caching plugin maybe?
I don’t think that I have any caching..
OK, then I’ll need to search further…
Very strange, I cannot reproduce this with the latest dev version that you should be using at this point, unless some files have not been overwritten correctly…
To test, could you modify a recent (or older) post and assign it to a category it was not assigned to before, then save and then remove that assignment again, the save again so all is as it was before… then check your category sitemap to see if the lastmod for that category has changed to that moment?
I tried but nothing…
Can you tell me which are the changes so that I’m able to check if the files in the plugin that I have installed are correct?
The file that contains the fix is controllers/main.php … do you see any messages related to this plugin/file in your server/hosting log files?
