# Date custom fields

 * Since I am putting together an astrology site, I’d like my custom field “month”
   to show only the month and year of the astrology reading for the signs, right
   now it shows, for example, June 1, 2013.
 * I think you wrote that to change this I would need to change the general settings
   but then it would affect dates on the whole site…is there a way to get only this
   custom field column to show the month and year?
 * Maybe I should I change the custom field from a date to text field with dropdown
   options?
 * I hope this is clear, let me know if it’s not.
