Hello, this seems like a really cool plugin, I just downloaded it yesterday. I followed the instructions to download, install and activate these two extensions:

    -DataTables Column Filter DataTables
    -ColumnFilterWidgets Premium

Then I changed the shortcode to [table id=1 datatables_columnfilterwidgets=true /]

But after updating the page my table remained unchanged. There is no filter, no search box, and no new options to play with. I’m lost from here. Does anyone know what I may have done wrong?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Most likely, there’s some sort of JavaScript conflict going on. Could you therefore please post a link to the page with the table, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

    thanks for the link!

From what I can see, the problem is in your theme. Some of its JavaScript code is not working, and that causes the browser to stop executing all the JS on the page.
In the Google Chrome error console, I can see an error message that involves a “SuperFish” JS script (that presumably is used for some functionality of the menu).
To confirm this assumption, could you please try again after switching to the WordPress default theme TwentyThirteen?

    Tobias

Yes, that seems to be the problem – it works in Twenty Thirteen. Dare I ask – can this be fixed?

    Hi,

good to hear that you can confirm this.

And yes, this should be fixable, but unfortunately, it’s nothing that I can fix, as it’s a theme problem. You should contact the theme’s developer and ask him to take a look at it to try to find out why that SuperFish JavaScript is raising that error.

    Tobias
