 * Hi, I’m a newbie at WordPress and english isn’t my native english, but well,
   I’m going to try:
 * I have an account of the type “myname.thedomain.com” and it’s hosted in the domain
   of a friend and since I don’t own that domain I don’t have access to the admin
   options, Cpanel, PHPMyAdmin or similars. Are they necessary for creating a database?
   Or have the main admin to create a database for me? Exists another ways to create
   a database in my account, using FTP, for example?
 * Thank you!

 * Hi
 * You can’t create a database by FTP.
 * You do need access to at least Cpanel to create a database. You can have the
   main admin create the database. Cpanel servers often have Fantastico installed
   which does a complete WordPress installion – database and program code, in less
   than 5 minutes. If someone can install that on your domain you can begin to administer
   your WordPress site.
