# Database Update Loop

 * I did the update. Everything went smooth, but the second I tried to move away
   from the date page after it finished, it said I needed to update the database.
   It did update, but I clicked the button and tried to let it do it again. It just
   goes to a page with the wordpress logo and there is nothing else. It will not
   let me do anything. If I log back in it sends me to you must update the database
   page.
 * How do I fix this?

 * With FTP, rename your plugin folder to disable all plugins, and then login and
   see if you can get the database updated. If that desn’t work, see [Solution for WordPress WP-Options Issue – Database Upgrade Required](http://www.clickonf5.org/wordpress/solution-database-upgrade-required/2247).
   And then change the plugin folder name back to plugins.
