# Database update doesn’t work

 * Hi,
 * I can see a geot_maxmind_cron cronjob in the dashboard of my webhoster. That 
   job gets executed monthly. But the GeoLite2-Country.mmdb file in wp-content/uploads/
   geot_plugin doesn’t get updated.
    Am I looking at the right file? Do I need to
   do anything else to update it automatically? I can’t find any errors in my error.
   log. Where would I find a message if anything goes wrong during the update?

 * Sometimes the cron could hang. You could try removing that file, deactivating
   the plugin and activating it again to trigger a new download.
