# Database update

 * I am running give version 2.4.5 for my website. I tried updating give database
   and it seems to be stuck on 2 updates forever – no errors but not proceeding 
   beyond 0%. The message just says “Give is currently updating the database in 
   the background.”
 * I am testing on a staging site on siteground – I turned off all the caching (
   siteground, swift) but still no progress on the update.
 * Need some help. Thanks.

 * Matt, thanks for the quick reply and the pointer to the article. Siteground admin-
   ajax.php handling was the issue – the update worked fine on the production site.
