# Database Meltdown…..help needed

 * Hello there can some one help me with this one…
 * I am getting the following error message:
 * WordPress database error: [Can’t open file: ‘wp_posts.MYD’. (errno: 145)]
    SELECT
   DISTINCT * FROM wp_posts WHERE 1=1 AND post_date_gmt <= ‘2005-11-24 10:20:59’
   AND (post_status = “publish” OR post_author = 1 AND post_status != ‘draft’ AND
   post_status != ‘static’) GROUP BY wp_posts.ID ORDER BY post_date DESC LIMIT 0,
   10

 * I’ve got into phpMYADMIN and had a peek and I’m unable to browse the wp_posts
   at all
 * Can anyone give me some help with this as I’m stuck

 * Email your host’s support. That is an error only they can fix (it’s not too serious
   though).

 * You can do – or just tell them the mysql database needs repairing and why.

 * OK….host said they can’t help me out.
 * In phpMYAdmin I can’t even open the wp_posts file to repair it…..Am I doomed????
 * Any ideas how to fix it?

 * One year on (nearly to the day) and this post still helped me…
    My database also
   suddenly gave the same error – I just went to MyPHP Admin and into the MySQL 
   database table, and selected the entry ‘wp_posts’ and selected ‘repair’ – 5 seconds
   later it all worked!
