Unexpected encounter (L to R) Nathan and Thomas Huet 18 June 2013 is in album 190, colored image # 6717
Huet brothers Nathan (left) and Thomas (right) June 2013 is in album 101, b/w image # 6682
If this is correct, clean-up your pc ( temp internet files etc )
Do not worry about the db. The album where a photo is in, is only a number in the photo record. You may accidently have chosen the wrong album. In that case, just move the photo to the right album ( that only changes that number in the photo record ). That same number is the photo number in …/wppa/, like 6717.jpg
Something is terribly wrong.
I have now found problems with photos that I uploaded yesterday.
Album #373 now contains photos from many other albums!
I uploaded China photos to #373 yesterday.
There are 14 photos in album #373, All of the descriptions refer to either china or shanghai. They all have Abbey in their descriptions. This looks good???
Did you see that in the album admin or in the front-end view???
If in the frontend, do you have w3totalcache or wp supercache running? reset it.
I have never installed any cache programs – they are more headache than they are worth 🙂
The captions are correct but,,, the photos are wrong.
Do you see the horses in the album #373???
There should be no horses in #373 (2013-06 Abbey Ida Tibesar China)
Those horse pictures belong in album #272.
No wait a minute. That photo is now correct but the caption is gone.
The caption reads “UNDEFINED”
If you click (print) on the horses a different photo appears for printing (not the horse photo)
Opajaap,
Here is what has occurred Saturday.
We moved our site to a new web hosting company and after installing WordPress it created a new database for us.
I then imported the old database into the new database.
The system then asked me to update the database to 3.5.2 (apparently the WordPress I installed was version 3.5.2 but the database was still at 3.5.1). I let it update the database with no errors.
Everything looked in order.
On Sunday (yesterday) I started uploading new photos to the albums. It appears those are the photos whose pictures don’t match their captions.
Based on this I believe something has happened to the database.
I believe the best course of action is for me to start over again.
This time I will install WordPress 3.51 and NOT import the database – just point to the old backed up database.
After I validate that the photos are uploading properly only then will I apply WordPress Update 3.5.2
Have you heard of any problems with WordPress 3.5.2?
Hmmmm….
Lots of memory issues with WordPress 3.5.2

Also, I noticed some database issues when upgrading from 3.5.1 to WordPress 3.5.2:

I believe the WordPress 3.5.2 database update is what knocked my WPPA tables for a loop.
Time will tell.
Hello Opajaap,
I see you fixed the 2013 Abbey Ida Tibesar China album #373
So, I am not sure how to proceed.
Please advise when you have time.
Thank you very much!
Marcus
they are more headache than they are worth
You do not know how much i can agree with that!!!
Do you see the horses in the album #373???
Never saw them there…
Those horse pictures belong in album #272.
Yes, they are there.
If you print this photo you will see that the pop-up photo is different than the slide photo:
http://tibesar.com/photo-albums/?locale=en_US&wppa-album=101&wppa-cover=0&wppa-occur=1&wppa-photo=6682
There are no photos in album 101: 1959-06 Casper Wyoming
This photo is in album 190 and the thumb is the same as the print popup
The caption is ok.
If you click (print) on the horses a different photo appears for printing (not the horse photo)
Not on my laptop
I see you fixed the 2013 Abbey Ida Tibesar China album #373
I did not fix anything, it never appeared wrong to me.
Lots of memory issues with the WordPress 3.5.2 update.
I had the same. Manual intervention fixed it. this can not be your problem.
My conclusion is that there is nothing wrong with your site, your local pc has gone mad. Please try everything out on a different pc/laptop!! And… most of all: DONT PANIC, OPAJAAP IS THERE TO HELP YOU.
“OPAJAAP IS THERE TO HELP YOU.” – your funny but, oh so right!
Even though we have many backups, I panic because we have thousands of hours of work in our photo archive. We now have over 6,000 photos and we are adding 10 to 20 photos each day. Database integrity is of the utmost importance to our archive.
Some photos are missing. There were some (less than 10 I believe) black & white photos in this album but, now they are gone: “1959-06 Casper Wyoming” – sub-album #101
I am using my Dell PC at work and my MacBook Pro at home and both indicate photos are missing from album #101.
Should I run a Cleanup (Table VIII A-6) to get them back?
