Title: Database import never completes Last modified: August 30, 2016 --- # Database import never completes * [Murray](https://wordpress.org/support/users/murraytm/) * (@murraytm) * [10 years, 5 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/database-import-never-completes/) * Using All In One WP Migration 4.13, when I import a wpress file (about 220MB, of which only 2MB is the SQL dump), the process hangs at “Restoring Database.” * However, if I watch the mysql general log, I can see when all the load is complete. When the SQL dump is done loading, I can log back into the WP dashboard and everything seems to have been imported successfully. * The whole SQL import does take quite some time (over 1-2 minutes), even though the dump is relatively small. I’m attempting to restore into a Vagrant box and it isn’t very fast. The database appears in php-MyAdmin in the control panel but I get ‘Server error’ when trying to log in to the site and the only thing I can seem to do is delete WordPress and start again. * The import is from a site running locally on Wamp, to a live Linux webserver.
