    hi,

I need some assistance with restoring my database. I made a manual backup, and uploaded the backup in phpMyAdmin using "import" button, however got a string of errors and need some help to sort out.

    many thanks.

What kinds of errors are you seeing?

    I took a screenshot, http://dl.dropbox.com/u/64629755/wp-database-import-error.png

I made a mistake earlier today to delete a user which had loads of content attached to it and didn't ask to be transferred to another user. I made a manual backup a month ago, which I am happy to restore to, but it doesn't seem to work.

I am not technical at all, so struggle to even understand where to look for the errors.

    You're assistance would be appreciated.

Looks like you have an issue with a table for a plugin (bl_instances?). You'd need to empty that table before you restore a backup copy.

OK, so do I just empty the blc_instances table and then try and 'import' the backed-up database again?

Yes. That should fix that particular error but I'd advise making a backup of your current database before you try anything.

I had to empty all the tables and then import the database, but it seemed to have done the trick. Thank you very much for your help.
