    I installed WP multisite. After setup Tools > Network, creation blogs.dir + writable, and adding into wp-config.php and .htaccess, I tried logging in, but received Database Errors.

    I tried repair but it came with this list:

    welc_1_posts: Table 'wpmu_65343.welc_1_posts' doesn't exist
    welc_1_comments: Table 'wpmu_65343.welc_1_comments' doesn't exist
    welc_1_links: Table 'wpmu_65343.welc_1_links' doesn't exist
    welc_1_options: Table 'wpmu_65343.welc_1_options' doesn't exist
    welc_1_postmeta: Table 'wpmu_65343.welc_1_postmeta' doesn't exist
    welc_1_terms: Table 'wpmu_65343.welc_1_terms' doesn't exist
    welc_1_term_taxonomy: Table 'wpmu_65343.welc_1_term_taxonomy' doesn't exist
    welc_1_term_relationships: Table 'wpmu_65343.welc_1_term_relationships' doesn't exist
    welc_1_commentmeta: Table 'wpmu_65343.welc_1_commentmeta' doesn't exist

    and a message referring to this forum.

    What is my next step?

  • Pop open your wp-config.php

    Do you have both

    define('WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE', true);

    define('MULTISITE', true);

    in there?

    I only have added this:

    define(‘WP_ALLOW_REPAIR’, true);

    define(‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true);
    define(‘SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL’, false);
    $base = ‘/welcome/’;
    define(‘DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE’, ‘********.***’);
    define(‘PATH_CURRENT_SITE’, ‘/welcome/’);
    define(‘SITE_ID_CURRENT_SITE’, 1);
    define(‘BLOG_ID_CURRENT_SITE’, 1);

    Not define(‘MULTISITE’, true);

    Ah. Add that in then 🙂 Should look like this:

    define('WP_ALLOW_REPAIR', true);
    define('WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE', true);
    define('MULTISITE', true);
    define('SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL', false);
    $base = '/welcome/';
    define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', '********.***');
    define('PATH_CURRENT_SITE', '/welcome/');
    define('SITE_ID_CURRENT_SITE', 1);
    define('BLOG_ID_CURRENT_SITE', 1);

    I wonder why WP did not include that statement in the list that it generated for inclusion….

    Thanks again, now I can continue and try any other stumbling blocks I may encounter. This is my 1st multisite (new) WP installation. I want to slowly convert my (large) website ( ) from a standard website into a collection of WP installations, each covering separate subjects, as well as HTML5 + CSS3 standardized webpages.

    Well … They did. It’s in ‘Add this to your wp-config…’ except a lot of people read that and think ‘I have WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE!’ and move on. I wish they were different :/
