 * i get the following everytime i try to import my database to a new host. any 
   idea how to remedy?
 * Error
    SQL query:

   meta_id` , `comment_id` , `meta_key` , `meta_value` ) VALUES ( 1, 2, ‘_wp_trash_meta_status’,‘

 * #1062 – Duplicate entry ‘1’ for key ‘PRIMARY’

 * Create a new fresh database and then import the old db to the new one and it 
   should work.
 * Please let us know how it goes.

    create new database on new host and then import
   old db into it from my old host?

 * Yeah, it might be possible that the database you are using on the new host is
   already in use.
 * Creating a new database on the new host will help eliminate this issue
