# Database Error – tmp files

 * Got this error several times over the last couple of days:
 * *WordPress database error:* [Can’t create/write to file ‘/u0/mysql/tmp1/#sql_f408_0.
   MYD’ (Errcode: 17)]
    |SELECT DISTINCT * FROM wp_posts WHERE 1=1 AND post_date_gmt
   <= ‘2006-03-15 18:29:59’ AND (post_status = “publish”) GROUP BY wp_posts.ID ORDER
   BY post_date DESC LIMIT 0, 15|
 * I have several WordPress blogs and when this error occurred today, another of
   my blogs got the same error. All blogs are at the same host, the databases are
   on different servers. I figure this may be an issue at the host but why all of
   a sudden? These blogs are not new. They don’t seem to know what’s wrong though
   one support person seemed to indicate other WP blogs were having a problem too
   but I can’t verify that.

 * It’s entirely a hosting problem and easy for them to fix.
    Copy the message to
   them and they should fix it.

 * Thanks, I kinda figured, though I already sent them the error. I’ll contact them
   again and let them know it’s on their end for sure.

 * I just set WordPress on my own site last night (so **I** am the host)… worked
   last night, today I’m getting this error. Not sure what to do about it; could
   someone with more experience please provide some guidance?
