    Hi,

I had deleted old site and installed new site again and i had back up of previously installed site, but when i restored backup in new site, i am getting database error, as i felt in old site and new site …database name user id and password would be different, so is there any way to retrieve old site database details from the backup which was created by updraft?

    Hi,

Did you use the same URL as your old site?
Note that UpdraftPlus free version only works when restoring using the exactly the same URL/domain.

    Thanks,

@bcrodua and when i try to restore the site, i am getting message as below

This backup set was not known by UpdraftPlus to be created by the current WordPress installation, but was either found in remote storage, or was sent from a remote site. You should make sure that this really is a backup set intended for use on this website, before you restore (rather than a backup set of an unrelated website).

    Hi,

    Apologies for the late reply.

To help us work out the cause of your problem, can you please send us a copy of the restoration log?
You can find this log in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory of your site via FTP.
You can send the log file and copy the contents into an online tool (such as http://pastebin.com/ )

    Regards,
    Bryle
