    I've been getting a problem with Storage in my Blog, and I don't know what it means. I installed version 2.0.4. I was also having errors with LivePress, so I deactivated that.

    WordPress database error: [Got error 28 from storage engine]
    SELECT DISTINCT * FROM wp_posts WHERE 1=1 AND post_date_gmt <= '2006-08-04 11:26:59' AND (post_status = "publish" OR post_author = 2 AND post_status != 'draft' AND post_status != 'static') AND post_status != "attachment" GROUP BY wp_posts.ID ORDER BY post_date DESC LIMIT 0, 10

    If you can do a repair and optimize to the db, I'd try that first. If you still see the error, you'll need to contact your host.

    Contact your host before you do a repair. "Error 28: No space left on device" probably means they ran out of temp space on a drive their SQL engine is using. This is not necesarily the same drive you are hosting your site on. You might not be able to see a disk with low space on it, but it is there... Tell your host about the error and they should be able to fix it. Chances are, they will already have gotten low space alerts and to you it would seem like the problem went away on its own.

    Question: Which version did you first install this blog as?

    I got that error on my blogs a couple of months back, the HD on the server was full!

    A script I was using on some sites was creating a lot of PHP warnings which bloated (understatement to say the least here!!) the error log files. Had about 100GB of error logs on a 120GB HD!

    Anyway, removed the error logs and the blogs worked correctly (so not WordPress at fault).
