 * Hello,
 * I moved hosts, since then, whenever I want to upload something, e.g. an image,
   or a plugin, from the actual wordpress admin control panel, it always asks for
   the ftp password.
 * How do I change the permission so that I do not have to keep putting the password
   in, what do I have to do?

 * Hi
 * That is usually dependent on the permissions your server is configured with.
   Ask your webhost for the answer to your question.

 * I just found an article about this issue yesterday.

 * Hello,
 * Okay what I did with one of the blogs is uninstall / delete it altogether and
   then reinstall it through its admin cp of the website.
 * I was told to do this by the host as some data must have been lost when transferring
   hosts.
 * However, my main blog is full of links, posts etc., so I’m scared to remove it
   then reinstall it.
 * What should I do?

 * Make sure you do a full database backup on phpmyadmin, and download that backup
   to your computer as a file. You also want to backup ideally your entire WP root
   folder and all the folders below it, but at the very least the complete wp-content
   folder tree.
 * With those two things even if something goes wrong, you will be able to get your
   site back (with some amount of work).
 * I kind of doubt your FTP file permission issues have anything to do with good
   or bad data in your database and WP files. That is generally a server configuration
   issue.
 * You might experiment with this new install you did of the old blog now a new
   blog. Put some plugins in and try to update them and see if you are still being
   asked for your password. If so, reinstalling the good blog is unlikely to change
   that issue.
 * The article I linked to describes a way you can add your password into the wp-
   config.php file, and allow WP to read it from there instead of asking you to
   enter it every time. There are some security considerations to consider, discussed
   in the article also.

 * Okay, I will do a full backup and then see how it goes, thanks.
