I have not set up any chron jobs. Is that something they need to ask their host? If you have not set up the automated backup features then this plugin would not create backups. There must be a different plugin or setting somewhere that is causing automated backups. That is why I suggested checking to see if there are any cron jobs running in the background that you are not aware. If you manually create a backup that is different.
