# Data Migration Problem

 * I was stupid. I’ve switched hosting plans and have had to migrate my blogs to
   the new server. I’ve done a backup of my database through PHPMyAdmin but didn’t
   realize that I could extract all of my posts through the WP Admin interface.
 * So basically I’m stuck with a large database and I can’t extract the data that
   I need to continue. Any advice/scripts out there that can create a WP export 
   from a MySQL backup?

 * Can’t you just restore the database at your new host?
 * Or you could [install WordPress locally](http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress#Installing_WordPress_Locally),
   restore your database, then do the Manage->Export thing, but again that requires
   restoring your database.
