Data lost after update

    I’ve updated the “Leaflet Maps Marker” plugin manually via FTP. Now all markers and IDs are gone. Is there any way to get them back? Are they stored in the MYSQL database? (Can’t find them)

    Hi,

    markers and layers are stored in the database (tables wp_leafletmapsmarker_markers and wp_leafletmapsmarker_layers) – anyway updating Leaflet Maps Marker does not trigger the deletion of any user data. The only way those tables are deleted is if the plugin is uninstalled via the plugins page by using the related link.

    From your description I assume this did not happen in your case, so I am not sure what happened on your server, if you just connected with FTP and uploaded the new plugin files over the old ones (even deleting the plugin directory first would not trigger the deletion of the 2 database tables mentioned before).
    I would suggest having a look via phpmyadmin into the database to check if those tables are still there – if not, I would suggest contacting your hoster to restore just those 2 tables from your most recent backup.
