    Hi,

I’m getting this error when opening the Site Kit for the first time in a session. I tried to reset the Site Kit connection but I’m still getting the same error.

Can you help me figure out what’s going on?

    Best regards.

Hello @madebyuh Thanks for reaching out, and appreciate you sharing the troubleshooting steps performed. To determine more on this, please share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. When checking the Site Kit dashboard from a Chrome browser incognito window does the same occur? If so, please share any browser console errors that appear.
    3. Have you been able to view Analytics data within Site Kit on this website previously?

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

    Hi Adam,

    1. Just submited the form.
    2. In incognito mode it doesn’t happen. I get no errors on the console.
    3. Yes, but always with this error. We manage some other websites and this never happened in any other website. We use the same host in all of them.

Adam, could it be that some privacy extension like Privacy Badger could be blocking incoming data from Google to the Dashboard and that results in an error like what I experienced?

    Best regards.

@madebyuh Thanks for sharing the information. Could I also check if you always see this error or if it happens occasionally?

It’s possible that there is a plugin conflict as you have alluded to with the Privacy Badger plugin. To check if there is a conflict causing this you can follow our troubleshooting steps here. This allows you to check Site Kit as if all other plugins were disabled to see if you encounter the same error.

Let me know how this test goes and if you have any questions.

The Privacy Badger is a browser extension and not a plugin on the WP installation.

I attempted Troubleshooting Mode and activated one plugin at a time. I also checked Site Kit, but I was unable to replicate the error.

The issue occurs when accessing the WP Dashboard, with errors appearing in all metrics. Then, moving on to the Site Kit Dashboard, the same errors occur again. After refreshing the page, the errors disappear.

@madebyuh Thank you for clarifying. It is possible that a browser extension could also be causing a conflict. Could you check this by disabling each active extension to see if doing so clears the errors you are seeing?

Hi Adam, I checked in Incognito Mode again in Firefox, and the error happened to me again, here’s a screenshot of the errors in the console: https://prnt.sc/fQiq4Ng7bCUz

Sorry in advance because it’s in my main language, not english…

@madebyuh No problem at all thanks for clarifying. Could you confirm you have also checked with your browser extensions as asked above?

Yes, I disabled every extension on the browser.

@madebyuh Could you please try going to this URL which will create a temporary WordPress site for you with Site Kit pre-installed. Could you then set up Site Kit on this site using the same account as the site you are having issue with. Do you see the same errors on this site once set up?

Hi Adam, only shows “gathering data…” now.

I tried again on Google Chrome (Incognito Mode) and got this errors on the console: https://prnt.sc/pog7fw93mAnR

@madebyuh Do you see any warnings or errors when checking your Site Health status (Tools > Site Health > Status), which differs from your Site Health information requested above?

You can also try a Site Kit reset if you haven’t done so already which may help to resolve this issue.

Hi Adam, no. I only see this 3 errors, but they don’t seem relatable to the problem: https://i.imgur.com/aKeX9vW.png

I just logged in the Dashboard and I got the same error, even after doing a Site Kit reset: https://imgur.com/q5C3xZ3
