# Data Base Cleaning

 * Well I’ve been trying to install for a couple of days.
    It wasn’t working out
   well at all. First the problem seemed to be the progres so I got MySql 4.6 and
   then that didn’t work and I found out the problem seemed to be because I was 
   using Internet Explorer instead of Safari and now the install page is all messed
   up and the error message is that I seem to have Wordpress already installed and
   I have to clear out my database although Im not sure how many are there since
   Ive been messing a bit with progress and phpBB etc. any ideas ? swanny

 * If it’s installed then like Root says, it should work.
    Try going to [http://www.example.com/wp-login.php](http://www.example.com/wp-login.php)
   If it has not, you need to use your cpanel to delete the database and then start
   over from the beginning.

 * Or : config for a new db with a new prefix. No need to fiddle.

 * Well It says its all installed yet won’t accept my apache server as my url
    as
   well it hasn’t generated a password and when I click on the login page it only
   points to the login file but won’t open it…. I tried changing the install file
   with my own password and I tryed changing the login file with info but that didn’t
   work either.
