 * After logging in to my admin panel, I’ve found that my dashboard gui has gone,
   with just a single column of the old links/menu on the left side. My site itself
   seems unaffected.
 * I tried upgrading and get the following error message
 * Warning: gzinflate() [function.gzinflate]: data error in /home/ontfinco/public_html/
   Word/wp-includes/http.php on line 1788
 * Warning: gzuncompress() [function.gzuncompress]: data error in /home/ontfinco/
   public_html/Word/wp-includes/http.php on line 1793
 * Any help would, of course, be much appreciated.

 * Updated!!
 * I reviewed this post
 * [http://wordpress.org/support/topic/362221?replies=7](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/362221?replies=7)
 * and found all my php files had this in the first line. I stripped it from all
   the files and have most of the functionality back. Am currently finding my page/
   post editor doesn’t work in visual, even after re-loading Tinymce. I will update
   if I find a soltion.
 * Of course, I would be happy for any suggestions.
 * Cheers

 * you stripped it from all the files? In your theme? OR in all the WP files? Because
   chances are, every single php file on your server may have that line in it.
 * Best bet is to follow the suggestions in that thread you linked to. WP core files,
   themes, plugins all may be dirty
 * I know the post I made in the other thread had links to lots of guides for cleaning
   a hacked WP install.
 * After going through hell getting my blog cleaned up,[ I made a post here](http://www.rvoodoo.com/2010/02/the-dreaded-base64-wordpress-hack-and-other-hacks-too/)
   to hopefully help/inspire anyone dealing with the problem
