Dashboard not working after activation

I just dowloaded the BackWPUp plugin and when I activated it, the dashboard page went blank. The rest of the site works fine, but when I click on the dashboard is only a blank page like nothing loaded.

Hi @thelobolair,
I think the plugin was corrupted during download, please delete the plugin then get the latest version here: https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/backwpup.3.6.6.zip , after that, go to plugins -> add new -> upload the zip file then activate the plugin again.

Sure! The issue started when we activated the plugin so we knew what it was. Our problem was that we couldn’t use the admin dashboard so we had to figure out how to deactivate it without that access. I’m not super experienced with websites so I asked our host to help with that (for us it’s DreamHost). They deactivated it and things went back to normal.

Hmm, so the issue actually not resolved since you have to disable BackWPUp :/
Is it possible for you to manually download the latest version in here: https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/backwpup.3.6.6.zip
Then go to dashboard -> plugin -> add new -> upload the zip file then activate the plugin again?
