Support » Fixing WordPress » Dashboard menu showing just 4 custom post types out of 6
3 years, 1 month ago
I created 6 different custom post types (with wp types) each having 2 different taxonomies
In the WP dashboard menu (left sidebar) i can see 4, but i am missing the last 2
What can cause this? Is it just a setting or…
All custom post types are created equally so that shouldn’t be the problem
When i click the +New at top i can click them all to add a new post in each of them, but this way it is hard to access the taxonomies…
Anyone have a solution for me?
Have a look over your CPT identifiers and make sure they are unique.
You’re probably using the same ID for two of them.
Thanks, did’t think of that one
I think i found a solution at this link: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/register_post_type#Parameters
I gave each of them a menu position starting at 101 (since the lower number only have room for 4 items in between them…
And now i get all 6 of them…
Cool – thanks for sharing the fix.
No problem, hope it will help others as well 😉
i set this post to resolved now
