  • On the Dashboard Menu, under Appearance tag, I don’t have the Background or Header Tags. Any idea how I can get these onto my dashboard?

  • What theme you’re using?
    What WP version?

In order to discuss about the same things and understand each other we need to agree upon the same terms: it’s not the “appearance tag”, is “Appearance menu” and “background submenu” or “header submenu”.

Some themes do not have these settings, but have other settings.

Thanks for your reply. I’m not very computer literate so apologise if I’ve got the terms wrong.
I have the latest WP version: 3.3.2 and as you say it’s the ‘Appearance menu’, but I haven’t got the ‘background submenu’ or the ‘header submenu’.
When I look at YouTube for help in placing my blog heading, they all seem to have the submenus on their video, hence the query.
Hope this is of help to you.

No worries, I just said that to make sure we’re on the same page.
I don’t think your theme allows you to change things like you see on that youtube tutorial since you don’t use the same theme as in the video.

    Check what theme you’re using.

Thanks again for your reply. You’re quite right I’m not using the same theme as on the videos, So you were able to answer my query.
