Dashboard Media Library is non existant

    When I am in the dashboard of my wordpress page, and click on Media, or Library underneath media, it results in a page not found error.
    When I click on add new under the Media tab, I find a page, but whenever I attempt to upload new media, I get a page not found error.
    When I try to upload a photo in a post, I get an “Unable to create directory D:\Hosting\5759604\html/wp-content/uploads/2010/07. Is its parent directory writable by the server?” error.

    I reinstalled the wp-admin and wp-includes folders.

    I uninstalled wordpress, redownloaded, then reinstalled wordpress to no avail.

    I’ve tried changing my permissions on the wp-content folder in Filezilla several times to 777,767,etc. (but when I look at the folder again it has reverted to xxx)

    Any assistance would be lovely.

    If you are having problems changing folder permissions, you need to contact your hosts.

    I’m not sure that’s just it. I can’t install new themes either.
    I get this message: Warning: touch() [function.touch]: Unable to create file D:\Hosting\5759604\html/wp-content/adventure.tmp because Permission denied in D:\Hosting\5759604\html\wp-admin\includes\file.php on line 199

    Download failed. Could not create Temporary file.

    I get a similar error if I attempt to reinstall or update wordpress via the dashboard.

    Installation Failed

    I’m totally perplexed.

    It’s some sort of permissions issue. You need to contact your hosts.
