Support » Installing WordPress » Dashboard locked after 2.1.2 upgrade

  • Resolved Stimpysfurballs

I’ve just upgraded from 2.0 to 2.1.2. I followed the instructions meticulously, including deleting the files and folders that were reccomended (but leaving those that were not).

Having gone through all the stages, I keep getting this message when attempting to visit my Dashboard:

    >>Your database is out-of-date. Please upgrade.

When I click on this I get:

    >> This file upgrades you from any previous version of WordPress to the latest. It may take a while though, so be patient.

And then when I click on ‘Upgrade WordPress’ I get:

    >>Step 1
    >>There’s actually only one step. So if you see this, >>you’re done. Have fun!

Which is nice, but then I’m back to:

    >>Your database is out-of-date. Please upgrade.

The Blog appears to still be ‘on-air’ and I can access Admin through ‘Edit’, but get the same loop if I click on ‘Dashboard’ in Admin.

    Any suggestions gratefully received.
