# Dashboard Inaccessible

 * I’ve downloaded version 4.0 and everything was fine. Then someone hacked my site
   so there was a pop-up site to accompany it. See: [http://www.xandermichael.com](http://www.xandermichael.com).
 * Dealing with my host provider they just now found that the problem was related
   to the hit counter. However before they discovered this, I downloaded a malware
   scanner plugin called Securi Security, recommended by WordPress. ([https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=malware+scanner](https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=malware+scanner))
 * After downloading it, I clicked to activate it and since then I have not been
   able to access my site at all. I get to the log in page, put in my information
   and then the dashboard seems to be loading, but the page remains blank and never
   loads.
 * Any ideas on how to amend this issue?

 * try deleting the folder of that plugin via [FTP or SFTP ](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients)
   or whatever file management application your host provides
