Support » Installing WordPress » Dashboard fails after 3.3 Auto Upgrade

  • Resolved rgapcreative

I just upgraded to 3.3 of Word Press using the auto updater.
I deactivated all of the plugin’s before updating.
The actual word press page comes up, but I am no longer able
to access the administration area (dashboard)

I receive the following error. (Any help pointing me in the right direction will be appreciated.)

    PHP Error Message

Fatal error: Call to undefined method stdClass::add_help_tab() in /home/a1537986/public_html/rcreative/wp-admin/index.php on line 33

  • Looks like you updated did not update properly replace wp-admin folder

    Thank you.

I replaced the wp-admin folder and that corrected the inability to access the dashboard admin area. Happy that it was an easy fix. =D

This seem to be as close to my issue so I’m hoping someone can help. @govpatel, you mentioned replacing the wp-admin folder which seem to fix the access problem for @rgapcreative. I’ve upgraded to 3.3 but can’t access any of my widgets—sidebar, footer top custom, nothing works. I’m concerned that if I was to replace my wp-admin folder, all my customization will be lost. How should I proceed? Please advise.
