Dashboard displays in text mode.

    I have manually installed WordPress to my Go Daddy free hosting account as per instructions. It appeared to proceed correctly. When I log into the dashboard it displays in text mode. The default blog seems to display correctly. How do I fix this?

    Looks like there are some admin CSS files which were not properly installed. Re-upload your WP files and folders.

    Hi Garybrobro, I had a recent client who used the free hosting at GoDaddy to test out WordPress and he ran in the same problem – his dashboard was in text mode. We both concluded that this was due to adds that GoDaddy added in the site and there was no cure for it. You can buy hosting at GoDaddy for less than 10$ a month – don’t waste your time trying to fix this. That’s my 2 cents worth. Diane http://dianebourque.com
