    Hi
Thank you for a great plugin, sadly I encountered few issues setting it up

    Dashboard 404
I installed the plugin and all seemed normal – (was able to access Upi Dashboard)
Then followed the instructions to set up admin /users in UPI users centre
    1. Only wp Admin was visible from the users popup
    2. Set it up for my user to be the admin and added user
FB: It would be useful to have the list of users and their capabilities appear on that screen
3.After that if I click on UpiCRM to go to the dashboard I get a 404 error page and it looks like I am not logged in ( ie wp top menu bar is not there)
    wp-admin/admin.php?page=upicrm_index returns a 404 error

Same is true in the case of all users not just admin
Please advice how this can be resolved

Is every user in the system a UpiCRM user?
Since I could not see any other users in the users pop up in the Users Centre, following some threads here, I went to the native user profile and could see the UpiCrm user/Admin selection

Does this means EVERY user in the site can have access as UpiCrm user
Is there a way to disable that option in users profile?

looking forward to hearing from you

Hi About the 404 – need more info… never had this issue.

    About Users:

every UpiUser need to be a WordPress user.
After you create a WordPress user , you can make this user either a UpiUser or a UpiAdmin.

Depending on the logged-in user’s role, UpiCRM presents one of two dashboards:
    * Admin Dashboard: Presents all leads’ status and analytics data.
    * User dashboard: Presents the same information, but only for the leads assigned to the logged-in user.

Users Center UpiCRM is designed to work in a multi-user / global organization environment, with up to 5 tiers of users, per your choice / definition. For Example, you can define a single “Global Sales Manager”, three “Regional Sales Managers”, under each of them – local “Sales Representatives” that are working with “External Distributors”. Per every user you can define: 1. Permission to re-assign leads back to the manager in charge. 2. Enable/Disable sending email status updates to the manager, per each status change.
All users, when connected to the UpiCRM dashboard, will see not only the leads assigned to themselves, but also the aggregation of leads assigned to the users reporting to them.

In order add users to UpiCRM: 1. Add a new WordPress “subscriber” user (Important: Do this before Adding UPICRM user/s) 2. Add the new user to UpiCRM: a. Choose the new user from the drop down list b. Choose his manager from the drop down ‘Reprts to’ list c. Add role (free text / label) d. Choose permission (role): UpiCRMUser/UpiAdmin e. Choose if a user can re-assign leads back to the manager? yes/no. f. Choose if the manager will receive notifications on the user status updates? yes/no.
Note: you can always click the “edit” icon and change the user’s role/position/permissions.

please see page 18 in the documentation / user guide found at:

    1. OK.
    2. Good, that’s the way do do it.
    3. can you make this user UpiAdmin , and then UpiUser again, and hit refresh (Shift+F5) , than add to User Tree view on users screen ?

404 – I first need some screen captures, and perhaps later on versions of installation (WP, plugin etc)

perhaps conact us on our site …?
    Thanks

Further issues and concerns regarding users
I just tested what I suspected is going on

As admin I accessed the one editor user which was not visiable in UpiCRM and made some changes to the profile.
The changes could be anything unrelated to UpiCRM, lets say I regenerated the password of that user

    I then SAVED the profile

This results in that user becoming Upi crm by DEFALT
I did not add the user to UpiCRM as user! I only made changes to their profile
Logging in as that user from another browser I can access UpiCRM I see the dashboard and can mange leads

    Same goes to a subscriber!

Since UpiCRM is not visible to User Role Editor ( As far as I can see) this means that Any user of a given site even a subscriber can have full access to UpiCRM if their profile is even saved by an admin of the site.

Is there a way to avoid that from happening?
Is there any user role plugin you can recommend that works with UpiCRM?

Interestingly accessing the other user on another browser I could access the dashboard…

What version of UpiCRM are you using please?

Also – about users and access rights:

Any WordPRess admin, will by default have UpiCRM admin role, as the wordpress admin can always access all data on site.

Any “subscriber” user on wordpress, or editor for that matter, will by default have UpiCRM user role, which means the user can ONLY access leads assigned to the user, or to the users that are reporting to the user, as defined on the tree view screen, as seen on http://yourserver/wp-admin/admin.php?page=upicrm_users_center.

    did this help ?
I suggest you send a support request form our site if you need more guidance…we’ll be happy to assist.

    hi Uri

I installed the plugin today from here, at some point during the day there was an update available so I updated it so was using the last 2 version available from WP.org

    The issue with users
Unfortunately the user centre DID NOT display anything under the ‘Global user hierarchy’ title.

To my mind assigning a UpiCRM user to all subscribers by default is a real pain for the reasons I highlighted before. I can not think of any situation where I would want a subscriber to have access to it.

I understand one is supposed to be able to control that from the Global user hierarchy, which as I explain before I don’t get to see! But even if I did see it – I would still like to see an option of NO UpiCRM user in the user profile.

    Disappearing Dashboard
I have done some more testing and discovered that the issue persisted for the admin user regardless of the browser!

However I have assigned Admin user to one of the editors just to test this and I could access the dash board as an admin using another user!

I suspect the issue was created because I assigned an UPiCRM admin to the Original admin user of the site. The dash board disappeared after that. So it seems to have disappeared NOT FOR THE ADMIN ROLE but to that particular admin user!

Deleting and reinstalling the plugin did not help since Deleting the plugin leaves behind all the database tables which retain all that information.

I now deleting the plugin completely…

Also As mentioned before the Plugin eliminate the WP Toolbar for all users when viewing the site. Despite the ‘Show Toolbar when viewing site’ is selected in the profile.

I would still like to be able to use it.
But need to resolve all those issues…

Look forward to hear any suggestions

    Hi,
also – suggesting a clean install on another server to make sure.

I experienced the same problem today regarding not been able to access the dashboard.

On plugin install I was able to access the dashboard, after exploring the plugin and editing a user to admin role via their user profile and updating user in the “users center” I could no longer access the crm dashbord – basicially page didnt receive any data – couldnt load. tried loggin in as the other user and also wouldnt load.

What fixed it for me was the the UpiCRM “user center” I clicked reset configuration, then the users actually showed up under the “Global User Hierarchy:” heading on the page and I could then access the dashboard under both users. I though reset configuration would delete any user changes but it actually seemed to allow the changes to stick and fixed the issue.
