Hi, I’m trying to experiment with a new membership plugin, but after creating a staging site to experiment and clicking the link, it takes me to my website with no option to access my dashboard. What keeps causing this to happen and how do I get the dashboard back on the staging site?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

can you login to the staging site after adding /wp-admin to the staging site URL?

Please feel free to open a support ticket here including sending WP Staging > system information and we can assist you with that issue.

    All the best

That had previously only taken me to a page to my original site, but it appears it’s worked this time

I’m trying to find out why my site isn’t working with either membership plugin I’ve tried, as the page links in the menu don’t take you to the correct pages. I’ve deactivated all the plugins bar the one and changed the theme, but when testing that out, I either get a page not found, but on a page with my deactivate theme rather than the theme I switched to as part of the testing. Or when I click a page link on the menu, it’ll take me to the homepage of my actual site, and not a page on the staging site. This is making it hard to find out what’s going on with my site

    Hi,

it’s very hard to see without seeing your System Info and WP Staging and membership plugin settings.
Usually redirects are either caused by the server or by wordpress plugins.

At first, make sure that you have permalinks on the staging site disabled. This is often the number 1 issue when it comes to redirects.

Please have a look at this article:
    https://wp-staging.com/docs/staging-site-redirects-live-site/

Another option is to have a look at WP Staging Pro as it can create a staging site in a subdomain. This often solves all server caused redirects.

My offer is still valid, if you like to contact us from the link above and send us the system info we can have a look at it.

    All the best
    René
