Sure, you can update it to an underscore- nothing in WordPress prevents that. Have you tried it?
What I mean is that if it is a dash, (I want a dash) it shows as an underscore.
The titles might say “Title of the Post in Words – 3/365” but they read as “Title of the Post in Words_3/365” which makes no sense.
That does make no sense. Can you edit it and change it? My WordPress install saves that title fine.
Hi @elliekennard. There is definitely a redirection bug somewhere on your site. This URL is redirecting to the home: http://www.vanndigital.com/page/2.
Try disabling plugins to see if you can find the culprit.
Which site is being redirected? Which URL I mean? I haven’t linked to a site on this topic.
What’s going on, Devin? You mention a redirect but haven’t answered me as to which site you are trying to access?
Oh, sorry, I was jumping around multiple support topics and accidentally posted in the wrong one.
I pasted “Title of the Post in Words – 3/365” into my local WordPress and it works fine. Can you edit your post and change it back to a dash? Or does it revert back to an underscore when you save?
Ah, well that’s a relief! 😀
It relates to posts that are pulled into my blog from Google+, using the plugin. If I don’t have a space either side of the dash, it comes in as a dash. If I have it with a space either side (as we are accustomed to seeing it) it turns into an underscore. It seems to be a wp peculiarity.
Thanks Devin
