• These problems don’t exist in IE, and I’m not a fan of IE (rather, I can’t stand IE). Here’s the problems:

    Writing/Editing Posts or Pages
I has the visual editor disabled, which means that the bold, italics, link, b-quote, etc. buttons are above the content. However, they do not display at all.

Furthermore, the “Add media” and “insert forms” buttons (above the bold, italics, etc.) do not work.

    Top Drop-Down Menus Don’t Work
When I click on “Help” or “Screen Options” at the top of the dashboard nothing happens.

I haven’t noticed any problems with any other sites, only the WP dashboard. Also, I haven’t tried Chrome, but I like Firefox. Has anyone else noticed a problem with their dashboard and Firefox?

    Firefox version: 21.0

Lack of the editing boars howeever is not the main problem, the main problem is that I am unable to edit or post new posts …
I cannot insert any text, only an image…

Yours is the opposite of mine in that I can edit texts in posts, just can’t add images (unless I manually type in the html).

However, I’m glad to see it’s not only me that’s having trouble with the Dashboard not working properly in Firefox and, it seems, Chrome. I really, really don’t want to use IE.

Have you tried clearing all caches and cookies, deactivating all plugins and switching to the default twentytwelve theme?

And @prosiek – it’s generally best to start a new thread – as your issue is NOT the same as the OP here. It’s also very difficult to have multiple people/conversations in the same thread.

WPyogi – tried all that and it made no difference. Still doesn’t work in Firefox while working right in IE. Not sure if the problem is on the browser’s end or in WordPress.

I have Chrome on my desktop at home, but haven’t tried that one (since I do most of the work using my work laptop). I’ll try Chrome at home later tonight and see if it’s just Firefox.
