    Auf der Website zu lesen: Gibt es etwas Schlimmeres als ein Totalausfall deiner WordPress Webseite? Meine Antwort: Ja, die Installation von BackWPup

    Hiermit muss ich meine Bewertung von vor 5 Jahren grundsätzlich ändern.

    Seit Jahren nutze ich das Plugin auf mehr als 30 Seiten. Es war bis zur Einführung der „tollen neuen Version“ für mich wirklich eins der besten Plugins.

    Seit dem update geht so gut wie nichts mehr. Im Gegenteil, einige meiner Seiten sind abgestürzt bis hin zum WhiteScreen. Nach gefühlten 25 Updates läuft mittlerweile alles wieder „so halbwegs“, allerdings werden die Daten nicht mehr auf die Dropbox übertragen, obwohl alle Einstellungen seit Jahren unverändert sind. Auch ein Neuverbinden nutzt nichts.

    Was nutzt mir das ganze „so super-tolle“ Plugin nun noch? Außer viele Stunden Arbeit – unnötiger Arbeit.

    The release of version 5 was a major overhaul intended to modernize and simplify backups, but we clearly fell short for long-time users like yourself. We’ve since released several updates to restore stability and key features, and we’re still actively working to bring back familiar flexibility — including better job management and cloud integration reliability.

    Regarding the Dropbox issue, we understand how disruptive this can be. A recent fix was included in version 5.1.3, but if it’s still not working, please consider reaching out via our support channels so we can take a closer look.

    We really appreciate your candid feedback — and your years of trust. Our aim with these updates is to rebuild that trust step by step.
