Dark Mode Toggle (Twenty Twenty-One Theme) disappears

    The Dark Mode Toggle disappears on AMP pages, no errors showing. Is there a fix to it?

    Hello @ingereck

    Thank you for the support topic, Currently dark mode support is only available to users if their system supports it. The theme toggle that is shown which allows the user to switch between light and dark mode has been removed from the frontend, due to the inability to persist the theme preference and being able to unserialize that into the AMP state without explicit user interaction.

    This issue is being tracked in ampproject/amphtml#20951.

    So if your desktop or mobile is set on the dark mode it will automatically show you the dark mode on site.

    Hi Milind,

    Thank you for getting back to me. Yes, the dark mode works. Since I liked the option to switch between the two modes directly on the website, I was wondering what was happening to the toggle in AMP. Thank you for the explanation.
