    Hi there!

    I have a system that outputs a json of products every day into the wpallimport/files folder. I use this json to update all and insert new products via a wpallimport cron.

    I initially imported all of my products with a “New Items” import. My variations are child XML imports and I their SKU is addedd to the SKU od the parent (see: https://imgur.com/9Vnd0qM)

    Creating products went without issues. As I said the json file with products is generated every day, and I run this same import with new file every day. But when I run the import again to update/create new products from the newly presented file, it deletes all product variations from previosly created products and translates it to simple product. Here are my update settings (see: https://imgur.com/Cv1AehL).

    =============

    I don’t know why it is deleting all of the variations.

    But I’m not sure if this setup is correct for my use case. Maybe I should have two imports, one only for creating products with variations with the “New items” option. And one for only updating products with “Existing items” (But when updating products there may be new variations for a product that need to be created as well – so it’s not only updating).

    Hi @goranristic123,

    But when I run the import again to update/create new products from the newly presented file, it deletes all product variations from previosly created products and translates it to simple product.

    Are you re-running the same “New Items” import that initially created the products with the new version of the file? If not, please try doing that and see if it works as expected.

    If you already are re-running the same import that created them, I’d really need to see the issue in action to understand what’s going on. In this case, please replicate the issue on a sandbox site at https://www.wpallimport.com/debug/ (you can use a smaller static copy of your feed to save time), then open a support request with the sandbox site URL and a brief description of the issue at https://www.wpallimport.com/support.
