# Daily error – SQL – Causes server overload

 * I get a daily error on my server which is overloaded.
 * The error detail is :
 * `Backend log: PHP Warning: mysqli_real_escape_string() expects parameter 1 to
   be mysqli, null given in /home/XXXXXXXX/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-cerber/
   common.php on line 2010\n, referer: https://YYYYY.ZZ`
 * Would you see what could be the reason ?
 * It looks related to the function ‘cerber_real_escape’.
 * It is very annoying…
 * In the code, the comment for this line is :
 *     ```
       /**
        * Natively escape a string for use in an SQL statement
        * The reason: https://make.wordpress.org/core/2017/10/31/changed-behaviour-of-esc_sql-in-wordpress-4-8-3/
        *
        * @param string $str
        *
        * @return string
        * @since 6.0
        */
       ```
   
 * How to resolve it please ?
