• Hi,

I’m using the DDFM for mail forms instead of Intouch for two reasons: after recent spam attacks the DDFM provided a better filter against spam and abuse, and it allows for several instances of the form.

BUT – unlike Intouch DDFM seems to be incapable of processing UTF-8 and this is getting severely on the nerves of the user of that blog. People from practically every part of this planet post mails to him and except for plain English most of it gets warbled, especially problematic are Umlauts and Cyrillic.

As normal mails sent by that installation (e.g. comment notifications) are at least normal in the body of those mails, the question is what I can do, to take the DDFM to task in this respect.

Anyone having the same problem and able to point out a solution?

  • Well I use this plugin for a blog in french and I have never had a problem with accents in the body text.
Why don’t you start by posing your question on the plugin page at http://www.dagondesign.com? I’ll vouch that they are very helpful and quick to respond.
